Family is your loved ones, those closest to you, the ones you knew from the start, maybe by choice but usually by no choice of your own.  Family is the spouse you chose and they chose you, a loving affirmation, if at it's simplest because it is/was a choice.  Family is your children the epitome of your gene pool, God's perfect vehicle to tech you patience and love unconditional. Family teaches you who you are, exposes the best and worst in you at times.  Family tempers you, makes you ready for rough patches.  Family enrages you, and endears you.  Family enlightens you and confuses you.  Family is disappointing and family is amazing. Family makes you proud and can make you feel ashamed.  Family is love at its most vulnerable.

But overall Family is God's gift to a broken people.
